چکیده

Biological particulate matter (BioPM) is a poorly constrained, ubiquitous, and diverse subset of atmospheric aerosols. They influence climate, air quality, health via many mechanisms, spurring renewed interest in constraining their emissions to elucidate impacts. In order build the framework required assess role BioPM these multidisciplinary areas, it necessary develop robust, high time-resolution detection methodologies so that can be understood characterized. this study, we present ambient results from intensive monitoring at UK peri-urban coastal ground sites using real-time bioaerosol spectrometers. We demonstrate utility new dimensional reduction-driven classification scheme, where laboratory sample training data collected ChAMBRe facility were used generate broad taxonomic class time series key species interest. show general trends representative classes, spanning spring, early summer, autumn periods between 2019 2021. PCR for bioaerosol monitoring: sensitivity and environmental interference.

The PCR technique has potential for use in detection of low concentrations of airborne microorganisms. In this study, the sensitivity of PCR and its susceptibility to environmental interference were assessed with Escherichia coli DH1 as the target organism. Air samples, containing environmental bioaerosols, were collected with AGI-30 samplers and seeded with E. coli DH1 cells. Parallel studies ...

Indoor bioaerosol dynamics.

Inhaling indoor air is the primary means by which humans are exposed to bioaerosols. Considering bacteria, fungi, and viruses, this study reviews the dynamic processes that govern indoor concentrations and fates of biological particulate material. Bioaerosol behavior is strongly coupled to particle size; this study emphasizes the range 0.1-10 μm in aerodynamic diameter. The principle of materia...

Real Time Airborne Monitoring for Disaster and Traffic Applications

Remote sensing applications like disaster or mass event monitoring need the acquired data and extracted information within a very short time span. Airborne sensors can acquire the data quickly and on-board processing combined with data downlink is the fastest possibility to achieve this requirement. For this purpose, a new low-cost airborne frame camera system has been developed at the German A...
